Will of John Lenardson Jnr. August 5, 1859 Probate Court Order of Probate Be it remembered that on this day the last will and testament of John Leonardson Jnr. Deceased late of Sylvania Lucas county Ohio was produced in open court by William Leonardson one of the Executors named in the will. And then came John Belman and Rhial B. Vrooman the subscribing witnesses to said will who being duly sworn and examined in open court deposed and said that said testator at the time of the Execution of the same was of full age, of sound mind and memory, and not under any restraint, and t hat they signed as witnesses in the presence of said testator and at his request. It is therefore ordered that said testimony be reduced to writing and filed with the will, and that the will and testimony be recorded and the will admitted to probate as a will having reference to real and personal Estate. Proof of Will State of Ohio Lucas county In the probate court at Toledo in and for said county on the 5th day of August AD 1859. Testimony in proof of the last will and testament of John Leonardson Jnr. Deceased late of Sylvania in said county. John Belman and Rhial B. Vrooman the subscribing witnesses to the last will and testament of said John Leonardson Jnr. Deceased being duly sworn and examined in open court on the day and year aforesaid depose and say that the said testator at the time of executing his said last will and testament, was of full age, and of sound mind and memory, and not under any restraint, and that they signed as witnesses to said Will in the presence of said Testator and by his special request and also in the presence of each other. I, John Lenardson Jnr., Of the township of Sylvania county of Lucas and state of Ohio being weak in body but of sound mind and memory and understanding (blessed be God for the same) and considering the certainty of death and the uncertainty of time thereof, and to the end that I may be better prepared to leave this world whenever it shall please God to call me home do therefore make and declare this my last will and testament in manner following that is to say first and principally I commend my soul unto the hands of Almighty God my creator hoping for free pardon and remission of all my sins, and to enjoy everlasting happiness in the heavenly Kingdom through Jesus Christ my Saviour, my body I commit to the earth at the direction of my Executors and Executrix herein after mentioned. Secondly I will that all my just debts and funeral expenses be paid out of my Estate by my Executors. 3rd"ly, I give and bequeath unto my beloved wife Magdalen Lenardson all her wearing apparel and household furniture and all my Estate both real and personal for and during her natural life or so long as She Shall remain my widow. 4th, I give and bequeath unto my son Frederick Lenardson five dollars to have and to hold to said Frederick and to his heirs and assigns forever. 5th, I give and bequeath unto my son James Lenardson fifty dollars to be paid out of my monies outstanding one year after the decease of my said wife Magdalen to have and to hold to my son James and to his heirs and assigns forever. 6th, I give and bequeath to my son Henry Lenardson sixty acres of land Known as the Getter lot which contains forty acres and twenty acres lying on the south of and adjoining the Getter lot and bounded on land deeded to John L. Lenardson to have and to hold to my son Henry and to his heirs and assigns forever. 7th, I give and bequeath to my son Hezekiah Lenardson forty acres of land Known as the Flemming lot lying in the State of Michigan to have and to hold to my said son Hezekiah and to his heirs and assigns forever. 8th, I give and bequeath unto my son William M. Lenardson eighty acres of land as follows, the west half of the east half of the south east quarter and the east half of the west half of the south east quarter of section six in township nine south of range six east to have and to hold to my son William and his heirs and assigns forever. 9th, I give and bequeath unto my son Elias Lenardson the east half of the east half of the south east quarter in township nine south of range six east containing forty acres to have and to hold to my son Elias and to his heirs and assigns forever. 10th, I give and devise and bequeath unto my son Washington Lenardson my old farm which I now possess and live on containing eighty acres be the same more or less together with all the appurtenances thereunto belonging and also my horses and cattle and all my farming utensils, Sheep, hogs, to have and to hold to my said son Washington and to his heirs and assigns forever. 11th, I give and bequeath unto my daughter Mary Ann Lenardson one hundred and fifty dollars to be paid by my Executors herein after named of the monies I have outstanding one year after the decease of my said wife Magdalen also one cow and 3 Sheep and also one feathered bed four pillows and bolster and other necessaries to fit out one bed together with a bedstead and necessary kitchen furniture to keep house to have and to hold to my said daughter Mary Ann and to her heirs and assigns forever. 12th, I give devise and bequeath unto my daughter Martha Lenardson one hundred and fifty dollars to be paid by my Executors herein after named out of the monies I have outstanding tow years after the decease of my said wife Magdalen with interest after one year also one milk cow three Sheep one bedstead one feather and straw bed four pillows and cases, one bowlster [sic] coverleads [sic] quilts spreads and sheets to fit out one bed and necessary kitchen furniture to Keep house if not paid by my said wife the articles above mentioned except the money part to be paid by said son Washington to have and to hold by my said daughter Martha and to her heirs and signs forever. 13th, I give and bequeath unto my daughter Esther Lenardson one hundred and fifty dollars to be paid by my Executors herein named out of the monies I have outstanding three years after the decease of my said wife Magdalen with interest after one year also one milk cow three sheep one bedstead on feather bed, one straw tick, four pillows and cases one bowlster [sic] quilts Spreads and sheets sufficient to fit out one bed and necessary kitchen furniture to keep house with, if not paid by my said wife Magdalen the articles above mentioned in her life time except the money part then to be paid and furnished by my said son Washington to have and to hold by my said daughter Esther to her and her heirs and assigns forever. 14th, I give and bequeath unto my three daughters Mary Ann Martha and Esther Lenardson all my household furniture and Kitchen furniture of Every name and nature, beds and bedding of all description (except one bedstead and bedding sufficient to fit one bed I will to Washington Lenardson) the residue to be equally divided between my three daughters above named to have and to hold to them and their heirs and assigns forever. NB after the decease of my said wife. 15th, I give devise and bequeath unto all my sons above named and including John S.Lenardson that the monies remaining after the legacies being paid as above described Shall be equally divided among them all to have and to hold to them and their heirs and assigns forever. 16th, And lastly I nominate and appoint my trusty friends Frederick Lenardson and William Lenardson to be my Executors and Magdalen to be my Executrix of this my last will and testament hereby revoking all former wills and testaments by me hereto for made.
