Please be aware that by submitting a biography to the Lucas County, OH  Biographies Project you have given permission for representatives of the Lucas County and Ohio Biographies project to examine this file for the purpose of extracting the names of individuals for indexing purposes.  Biographies may also be edited to append the name and e-mail address of the submitter. 

Guidelines For Submissions

This is first and foremost; DO NOT post materials protected by copyright other than your own!  Any posted biographies found to be protected by a copyright of someone other than the submitter must be removed from all Ohio and/or county Biography pages.  Books and biography collections printed prior to 1922 are generally not protected by copyright and are considered to be in the public domain.  Photo static re-prints or duplications of pre-1922 works are not protected by current copyright.  The short story here is: Make sure your source books are pre-1922 originals, or re-prints or copies of pre-1922 originals. 
 

This site is not only limited to previously published works. Submitters are welcome to create their own biography of a Lucas County individual. When creating your document put as much detail in it as possible to give the readers a wealth of information on your chosen person. Places, names, dates, interesting facts, etc. make the reading a more interesting and valuable tool for researchers.

Prior to submitting any Lucas County biography, your must review the submission guidelines listed above. Prepare your biography using any of the common word processing programs such as MS Word, WordPerfect, etc. At the top of the page indicate your source information, if used, including the name, author, and publication information. At the bottom of the page include Submitted by �Your Name� , your email address, the date, and your copyright notice. Save your work as a text file and email it as an attachment to Teresa Casiano.
